I was very impressed by the way the hotel saw its role to adapt to the guests needs rather than the other way round. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room and hotel facilities were very comfortable.

The Howard was wonderful. We felt like guests in someone's home. The rooms incorporated modern comforts without sacrificing the charm. The service was exceptional - the staff made dinner reservations for us, hired an excellent driver to take us on a tour, and brouht us sandwiches when we decided we didn't want to go out to dinner. Breakfasts were delicious. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

We were delighted with our romantic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the main attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable with lovely amenities. We especially enjoyed the tea service provided by the staff and the delicious breakfast. The hotel also offered a car service at reasonable prices, which was very convenient.
The room had some minor maintenance issues that could have been easily resolved, such as a broken hook to hang our coats and a loose toilet seat. The staff seemed overworked and we had to wait longer than expected for service in the restaurant.

This hotel is fantastic, mostly because of the superb staff who really go out of their way to look after your every need. If you're not happy with highly personal levels of service then this hotel isn't for you (valet parking, tea/coffee provided free of charge by the butler rather than having a kettle in the room etc), but if you're happy to let someone else take the strain for a while then it's wonderful to sit back and enjoy the experience. The location of the hotel is great, too. It's about 10 mins walk from Princes Street, although there is a bit of a hill to walk up.

The hotel was very close to everything, located in a quiet part of the city but within walking distance to the centre. We walked mostly, but there was also a bus stop only a two-minute walk away. The hotel facilities were excellent, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious.
Didn't dislike anything about the property.
